Confused About Medicare?
Turning 65 Soon? Retiring?
I'm Here to Help!

Andrea Jones, Insurance Agent:
Serving Montana Boomers and Beyond.
Bozeman Based.

I'm here to help! I'd like to be your trusted, local, and experienced Medicare plan advisor for life. As a resident of Montana, I understand the unique needs of Medicare recipients in our state. With access to multiple insurance carriers, I can help find the right plan options to meet your needs. Medicare is complex and often confusing, but I'll work with you to make it clear, simple, and understandable.

My services are NO COST TO YOU, and your individual needs are paramount. I have the experience and expertise that will put you at ease and help you make your decisions with confidence.

I offer multiple plan options from the largest, most respected insurance carriers.

Medicare Coverage for Montana

I understand you have many options for obtaining coverage. Working with me rather than calling an insurance company directly or an internet-based broker ensures that you get the most accurate information and are presented with options that suit your unique needs. Insurance is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Your plan premium will be the same (or more) whether you do your own research and deal direct with the insurance companies compared to allowing me to help you. Being in the wrong plan for you can be costly, however. As a long-time Montana resident, I understand the options available to Montanans and will help you find the plan, or plans, that fit you and your needs best.

Types of Medicare Coverage Available in Montana

Medicare Advantage
Medicare Advantage is a type of Medicare plan administrated by private insurance companies who partner with Medicare to provide both Part A (hospital insurance) and Part B (medical insurance) coverage and they often include Part D prescription coverage and other benefits not covered by original Medicare. You can think of a Medicare Advantage plan as an all-in-one plan.
Medicare Supplement Plans
Medicare Supplement plans are offered by private insurance carriers and help pay some of the remaining health care costs, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles that Original Medicare doesn't cover. These plans are often referred to as Medigap plans because they fill the gaps in Original Medicare to help reduce your out-of-pocket expenses.
Medicare Part D
Medicare Part D is the prescription drug benefit component of Medicare and is available to individuals who are enrolled in Medicare Part A and/or Part B. Medicare Part D is offered by private insurance carriers, and it can be purchased in addition to Original Medicare. Most Medicare Advantage plans include drug coverage.
Other Options
To ensure you have the right coverage at the right time, schedule a meeting with me. We’ll discussion your specific needs, and I’ll answer any questions you have.

Medicare Enrollment Periods

Many people ask me, “When can I enroll in a Medicare plan?” I want to help ensure you are in the right plan at the right time. Here is a helpful reference for enrollment eligibility periods.

  1. Initial Enrollment Period – begins 3 months before your 65th birthday and ends 3 months after the month that you turn 65.

  2. Annual Enrollment Period – begins October 15 and ends December 7 each year.

  3. Open Enrollment Period – allows you to make changes to your Medicare Advantage plan from January 1 through March 31.

  4. Special Enrollment Periods – are available under certain circumstances throughout the year, such as moving out of your existing plan’s service area or retiring from a job that previously provided your benefits.
